LIFE UPDATE: CHRISTMAS, HOSPITAL TRIPS & COVID

Well hello lovely people it's been a hot minute since I was able to post on here and I cant lie I have 100% missed it but you know life with a newborn baby and going back to work just kinda took over so i thought before i jump back into posting regularly i would do a little life update on me and our little family.

The last time i posted on here Noah was only 6 weeks old and still very fresh he is now 10 months old and only 8 weeks away from being 1 (like WTF). We have most definitely been through a lot in the last 10 months that's for sure between having our first Christmas as a family of 4, an ambulance trip to the hospital with Noah. Everyone catching Covid, me going back to work full time. Trying to navigate through post natal depression, holidays and so much more.

Like I said A LOT has happened in the last 10 months, and for the most part I wouldn't change a thing but you know we could have done without the hospital trips and Covid but hey that's life you've just got to take each day as it is and take in all the small moments of joy especially when you have kids because they honestly do not stay small for very long. So let's kick this update off on a positive note,

Christmas:

We had the most amazing Christmas spent just the 4 of us, yes Noah will have no memory of it and you know he slept through the whole day only waking up to be fed and have a fresh nappy put on, but myself Alan and Cody had a blast just chilling in our pyjamas all day eating ALL the food watching movies and spending some time just us. With Noah being born in the November our house in the lead up to Christmas was busy busy all the time with people coming up to see Noah, now don't get me wrong that was lovely but we really needed some time to ourselves so Christmas was a god send. We had the most chilled day and plan on doing the exact same this year as per Cody's request.

Bubba Hospital trip/ hospital stole my husband for a night /Covid:

Right at the start of the year we had a very unexpected trip to the hospital with Noah, he had been unwell for a few days and just wasn't himself so one Friday it was just me and him in the house and I thought a nice warm up time bath would help him out and everything was going so well until he was out of the bath and getting dressed. It was this moment he decided to projectile vomit all over both of us and the Livingroom while we were on facetime might I add so that was fun (not). By good luck it was my parents we were on facetime to so they came through to help as we definitely needed it.

Once they arrived it became very clear very fast that something was very wrong with Noah as he had went pale, cold and we couldn't get him to wake up. A call to the doctors was made and we where told to call for an ambulance, this is quite possibly the scariest thing I have ever went through as a mum but according to my parents and husband I was cool calm and collected. The paramedics arrived and at this point Noah had perked up but because of his age we still needed to go to A&E for him to be checked over. Alan was already at the hospital waiting when we arrived and Noah was checked over everything seemed fine so after a couple of hours of monitoring we left. It was at this point once Noah was in bed safe and sound my bottle crashed and I broke down and proper ugly cried into Alan's chest.

Covid:

Now let's fast forward 24 hours I get up the next day and I feel like utter rubbish and I'm coughing so think i might as well do a Covid test since i was in the hospital the day before and wouldn't you know it POSITIVE! Within the next few days the family start dropping like fly's and we all end up with. It was never fully confirmed what had been wrong with Noah but you cant tell me the two are not linked when within 24 hours of being him being so unwell to me testing positive.

Hospital stole my husband:

Oh and all within a few weeks of this Alan ended up with a very bad chest infection so he went away down to NHS24 and they kept him in for a night with suspected pneumonia. So here i am still trying to recover from Covid left totally alone with a baby as you can imagine this was a fun time.

I think this enough of an update for part 1, as you can tell from the start of this we have A LOT to cover so I will leave part 1 here. Part 2 to follow in the next few days.
